Karsten Gefle is one of Norway’s foremost freeride skiers, having been top in the discipline for several years.

He’s also taken part in all the “Don't Crack Under Pressure” films between 2015 and 2017. An East Norway expatriate, he has settled in the free riding paradise of Sunnmøre.

Being a professional skier can put you on a major ego trip. You only have yourself to care about and you can ski all the time. You can make your childhood dream come true. Descending a virgin mountainside that perhaps no one has scaled before you – that’s the coolest feeling in the world. But when I see the joy in my daughter’s eyes when she goes skiing, it makes me as happy as if I went myself.
