Why we collect personal information and what kind of information we collect.
We collect and use your personal information for different purposes depending on who you are and how we come into contact with you. We collect the following personal information for the purposes stated here:
Purchases from our web shop: Name, address and email. We do this with the legal obligation for Completion of the Purchase Agreement; without which, we would be unable to complete our transaction with you. Further, it is necessary to help you with potential complaints and returns. If you wish to, you can create a password associated with your email address and the information will be saved for future trades.
Receiving our newsletter and other news about our web shop: email address. We do this only upon receiving your consent during the providing of said information. You can revoke your consent to the processing any time. You can inform us of your revocation of consent by sending an email to post@devold.no. In order to provide you with customer service: Name, phone number, email, address and other information you personally provide during your communication with us. Who can we share your data with?

We work with Adyen. The entire payment operation takes place on encrypted and thus secure lines. Credit card details or social security numbers used for certain payment methods are not stored with us. The service uses industry-standard Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) technology to encrypt personal and sensitive information such as name, email address, address and card information. Neither Devold nor any of our subcontractors’ store card information. This is encrypted to our payment provider which has all the necessary certifications to store card information.
Our subcontractors consist of the following companies:
EPIserver is our supplier of E-commerce solution and Logistra handles our shipments in the online store. We use automation solutions such as Autostore and EWMS, provided by Element Logic. Furthermore, Microsoft Dynamics AX is our supplier of ERP solution.
All processing of personal data we process takes place within the EU / EEA area.
Measurement of customer satisfaction
We use Lipscore to measure customer satisfaction. We exchange data with Lipscore in connection with measuring customer satisfaction. You as a customer can have these deleted on request.
How long do we store personal information?
We store personal data as long as it is necessary for the purpose for which the personal data is collected.
The information you enter when shopping in an online store will be deleted from the online store solution after 6 months if you shop without a login. If you shop with a login, data will be deleted from the online store solution 6 years after the last transaction. The information will also be in Devold's business systems and will be retained there as long as they are required by Norwegian law, as well as to be able to fulfill the requirements for complaints and guarantees.
If you have granted marketing authorization (via email, SMS etc), we will store your personal data for this purpose as long as we have your consent.
Your rights when we process personal information about you
You have the right to demand access, rectification or deletion of the personal data we process about you. You also have the right to demand limited processing, object to the processing and demand the right to data portability. To apply your rights, you must send an inquiry via email to post@devold.no. We will respond to your inquiry as soon as possible, and within 30 days at the latest.
We will ask you to confirm your identity or to provide further information before allowing us to exercise your rights to us. We do this to ensure that we only give access to your personal information to you - and not someone who claims to be you.
If you believe that our processing of personal data does not match what we have described here or that we in other ways violate the privacy law, you can complain to the Data Inspectorate.
