We have full control over our value chain and will continue to opt for natural and degradable materials, collect wool from farmers we know personally, and impose increasingly stringent animal protection and land management requirements. We’ll continue to create jobs and ensure that the people creating clothes of the highest quality are people who enjoy working for us. We’ll work hard to reduce our own footprint and to do what we can to make the clothes we produce not only useful to the shopper who buys them, but to everyone, too.
We’ll create top-quality woollens that are about more than just design, fit, and technical properties – clothes that are also in synch with your values. Garments that can be worn in good conscience.
100% Traceability
All Devold garments are traceable, with more than 60 % being traceable all the way back to the exact farm that produced the wool. See for yourself, on your garment’s label!
84% natural and degradable
That’s the percentage of wool used to produce Devold’s collections. In addition to wool, we use natural, degradable materials such as Tencel, but for some garments – such as socks – we blend in some synthetics to make them more durable and elastic. We work to make all synthetic materials degradable.
- 20% plastic and cardboard
Since 2018, we’ve reduced plastic packaging by 20% and the amount of cardboard by 26% in our production.
